A metal frame solves three problems at once: it is light, it goes together in half an hour and it survives moving house. Which is why these beds usually end up in rented flats and guest rooms.
Every bed in this section takes a 190 cm mattress. That is the Israeli size range: 80x190, 90x190, 120x190, 140x190 and 160x190. A 200 cm mattress will not fit. If you have been looking at European models, note that their range is different, and a mattress from one bed will not suit the other.
How metal differs from board and solid wood

About creaking
Metal beds start to creak for the same reason wooden ones do: bolted joints develop play over time. The fix takes five minutes once a year, turning the bed over and tightening every bolt. If the creak appears sooner, it is usually the slats of the base having shifted in their clips rather than the frame itself.
