A wall unit is the largest purchase in a living room, and it is the one people most often order well in advance. Gathered here are the compositions there is no need to wait for.
What to measure before ordering
Measure the wall corner to corner, not by the furniture standing there now. Mark the sockets and the aerial point separately: behind the unit they become unreachable, and the television and set top box need power. If a socket falls behind a solid panel, an extension lead or a moved outlet will be needed before assembly.
Check the ceiling height if the composition includes tall columns, and the width of the doorway the boxes have to come through. The unit arrives flat packed, but the longest panel can be close to two metres.
A stock composition is sold in the make-up it comes in. Adding another module in the same colour six months later most likely will not work: the batch is finite. If expansion is on the cards, check with us whether adding modules will still be possible, or else modular collections are the safer route, since they are built up piece by piece.
