How are pitchers different?
Volume: If the whole family uses the jug filter or guests often come, you can pay attention to Onyx with a volume of 4.2 liters. If there are few users and the kitchen is small, it is worth considering the 2.4-liter Compact options. Jasper and Amethyst Medium Kushina Filters, 2.8L
Resource: Resource is the amount of water that the module will purify before losing its superpowers. The figure may fluctuate depending on the quality of the water and the number of people.
Price: A pitcher filter is the most budget type of filter due to its small dimensions and a small amount of sorbent. The price depends on the characteristics of the model, and in order to decide on the model, you need to take into account the factors that we listed above.
Interchangeable modules: Modules differ in design and fit different models, so you need to carefully consider their choice. The quality of water filtration directly depends on the performance of the module and the sorbent in it.
Housing material: Only high quality plastics approved for contact with foodstuffs can be used in water filters. After all, water purification is possible only in compliance with all safety rules - and AQUAPHOR strictly follows these rules.
Several AQUAPHOR models (Provence, Orleans and J.SHMIDT 500) are made of unbreakable Tritan™ copolymer - this is especially useful if there are children in the house. There will be no splinters, no possible injuries.
What's inside the pitcher filter cartridge?
- Activated carbon eliminates foreign tastes and odors, absorbs chlorine and its harmful derivatives, as well as pesticides, petroleum products and other compounds.
- The ion exchange resin prevents the formation of scale, eliminating its culprits - hardness salts.
- The patented microfiber AQUALEN retains lead and other heavy metal ions, and at the same time helps every drop of water to come into contact with the carbon and be purified.
How often do you need to change the cartridge?
The main rule for filter owners: do not forget to change cartridges on time. After the end of the resource, the module is safe, but useless: harmful substances will go back into the water, but filtration will not happen.
Pitcher filter modules usually serve for a calendar month. Their "life" directly depends on the number of users and the resource specified in the passport. For example, module B15 works on average 1-1.5 months, Maxfor - 1.5-2 months, and A5 - 2-2.5 months. Some models have a counter for convenience (mechanical in Jasper, Amethyst and Onyx jugs, electronic in JS 500).
