The defining property of Visco is pressure distribution. Ordinary foam resists the body evenly, so shoulder and hip press harder than the rest. Viscoelastic foam softens under body heat exactly where the load is higher, and the pressure points disappear. There is a flip side: the same effect makes the mattress warmer than usual, which is noticeable in the Israeli climate.
