A dressing table is chosen by its mirror and its light, not by the number of drawers. A drawer can be added alongside; the light cannot be redone later.
With lighting or without
Lighting around the mirror gives even light from the front, with no shadows under the eyes or the chin. That is its one real advantage, and for makeup it is decisive. A model without lighting is cheaper and slimmer, but it will have to face a window or have a lamp fitted separately, and overhead light from a ceiling fixture is no use for makeup: it falls from above and draws shadows exactly where there should be none.

Size
A small table fits a bedroom where the space is already taken by a bed and a wardrobe, and its width is enough for everyday cosmetics. A wider model is for people with a lot of cosmetics, or for two people using it together.
A table needs a chair or a pouf, and that is almost always forgotten. Seat height works the same way as at a dining table: 27 to 32 cm between the seat and the top. A pouf that simply matched the colour often turns out too low.
