How it is built

The pedestal carries a wide drawer at the top and, below it, a compartment behind a door with a shelf inside. The drawer runs out to its stop, so even what has rolled to the back panel stays visible. Top and drawer front sit a shade away from the carcass, and horizontal grooves on the door catch light.

Who it suits

118 cm across the front with 54 cm of depth: a monitor stands clear and there is still room to write by hand in front of it. A good first workstation for a schoolchild that will not be outgrown by the senior years.

Materials and finish

Dimensions: 118 cm long, 54 cm wide, 77 cm high.

Carcass in laminated chipboard, fronts in MDF. The palette is white: Alpin White on the carcass, Supermat and Billbergia on the fronts, with Cool Grey added on the shelves. The horizontal grooves are milled into the fronts, not applied battens. No handles are fitted: the front is gripped by its rounded edge. Concealed hinges, drawers on ball bearing full extension runners, plastic feet. Meble Wojcik factory, Poland.
