Wall unit with an electric fireplace

Wall units with electric and bio fireplaces in Israel
In an Israeli flat a fireplace is installed for the look rather than the warmth. So what matters is not output but how the flame looks and what it needs to run.
Compositions and single modules with a built-in hearth. Ordinary wall units without a fireplace are in Living room wall units.
The difference between the two types is simple. An electric fireplace imitates flame with lighting and plugs into an ordinary socket; on most models the heating can be switched off, leaving only the picture. A bio fireplace gives real fire on bioethanol: no flue is needed, but the room must be ventilated and the fuel is consumed.
What to check before buying
| What to check | Why |
|---|---|
| Socket | An electric hearth needs a power point behind the furniture. Check it before ordering; moving one is harder than it looks. |
| Heating | On most electric models it switches off. In Israel that matters more than the output itself. |
| Fuel | A bio fireplace runs on bioethanol, which is consumable. Count it into the cost of ownership. |
| Ventilation | Real flame needs air; a sealed room will not do. |
