Why a set is sometimes simpler

When a table and chairs are bought separately, two things do not always line up. The first is height: the gap between seat and tabletop should be 27 to 32 cm, and seat heights differ by 3 to 5 cm between manufacturers. The second is the shade of the wood. The same «oak» leans yellow at one factory and grey at another, and side by side it shows. In a set both problems have already been solved at the factory.

A set is worth taking when a room is being furnished from scratch. If the table is already there and is not being replaced, adding chairs separately from the Chairs section makes more sense than replacing everything for the sake of a match.
