The 160 cm unit: two glass shelves and an open centre

A plainly conceived 160 cm unit: the middle stands open for the television and whatever sits beside it, while two tall niches with glass shelves hold the sides. The carcass is white matt, the fronts white gloss, and here the gloss works with the light and gives back the window.

Who it suits

For a bright living room that wants no dark patch under the screen. The open middle suits anyone whose console and soundbar must stay visible and within reach of a remote.

What you will like

two closed compartments behind gloss fronts
three open shelves, the central one long
two glass shelves in the side niches
side panels standing fully on the floor, with no legs or plinth
a white matt carcass that does not yellow beside the gloss

Length 160 cm, depth 40 cm, height 46 cm. The central niche runs 99.6 cm, the side ones 31.3 and 26.9 cm: a narrow column for books and boxes, a wide middle for equipment.

Are the glass shelves in this unit removable? The glass rests on supports in the side niches, is visible from outside and lifts out for washing. There are two, one per niche.

Will a 160 cm unit take a 65 inch television? Feet on that diagonal usually spread 110 to 130 cm, and the top here is 160 cm long, so margin remains at both ends.

Materials and finish

Carcass in laminated board and 16 mm MDF, fronts in high gloss, HDF back panel, ABS edging. White matt carcass, white gloss fronts. Warranty 12 months. BIM Furniture, Poland. The lighting is not in the base price: pick the version with it and the 123 shekel surcharge is added to the order for you.

Frequently asked questions

Will the glass crack under heavy equipment?
The shelves are meant for books, discs and small devices. A receiver or an amplifier is better placed on board than on glass.

How does the matt carcass differ from the gloss fronts?
A matt surface scatters light and shows no streaks, gloss reflects and brightens the front. Together they give contrast without a second colour.

More about this piece

Laminated chipboard

Wood particles pressed into a solid board and faced with laminate on both sides. The workhorse of cabinet furniture: holds its shape, tolerates everyday moisture, wipes clean.

MDF board

Wood fibres bonded under pressure make a panel denser than chipboard. It holds milled patterns and curved profiles, so fronts with relief are made of it.

Gloss finish

Reflects light and makes a piece look lighter. Fingerprints show more on dark gloss, so it needs wiping more often.

Matt finish

No reflections, and it hides fingerprints and light scratches. In a small room it reads calmer than gloss.

Manufacturer warranty

The factory warranty runs 12 месяцев from delivery. It covers material and assembly defects, but not natural wear or damage caused by misuse.

Made in Poland

Shipped straight from the factory, built to European furniture manufacturing standards.
