RAVENNA F 200: drawers and two open bays for equipment

A television unit two metres long: doors at the sides, two drawers in the middle and, above the drawers, two open bays. The back panel of the bays has round cable holes, so a console sits in the open, catches the remote, and its lead runs off to the wall.

The milling is two-tone: an artisan oak rib over a black-painted groove bottom, so the pattern reads even unlit. The support is a black steel frame around the perimeter of the base, read as a shadow rather than a feature.

Who it suits

For anyone whose console or receiver must stay in view. Behind a solid door they lose the remote signal, and the open bays here exist exactly for them. The drawers alongside take remotes, cables and oddments.

What you will like

two open bays above the drawers, with a round cable outlet
a console in a bay catches the remote; behind a door it does not
two drawers in the middle, doors at the sides
two-tone milling; the pattern reads in the dark as well
a length of 200 cm, a depth of 42 cm

By size this is 200 cm along the wall, 42 cm deep and 58 cm to the top. The top holds 30 kg, what a 65-inch panel with its stand comes to.

What it stands with

This is the only unit in the range with open bays, and that is exactly why it is chosen: everything driven by remote lives here. A fully closed version of the same length also exists in the F range - four doors instead of bays and drawers. The difference is that here some things are always in view, and the top has to be kept tidy.

What goes into the open bays of the RAVENNA F unit? A console, a receiver or a soundbar - anything driven by remote. There are two bays, each with a round cable hole at the back, so the lead runs to the wall instead of folding over the edge.

Will dust in the open bays not be a nuisance? The bays are shallow and open through, wiped in one pass along with the top. A fully closed option of the same length exists in the range as well - the four-door unit.

Materials and finish

A laminated chipboard carcase, milled MDF fronts. Finish: black mat with artisan oak front. Support: black frame. Warranty 12 months. Factory BIM Furniture, Poland.

Frequently asked questions

Are the drawers in this unit deep?
They are shallow and wide: for remotes, cables, chargers and discs. Larger things go into the bays behind the end doors, which are full carcase height.

Is there one cable hole for the whole unit?
Each of the two open bays has its own round hole in the back panel. Leads from the console and from the receiver go out separately and do not tangle into one knot behind the unit.

More about this piece

Laminated chipboard

Wood particles pressed into a solid board and faced with laminate on both sides. The workhorse of cabinet furniture: holds its shape, tolerates everyday moisture, wipes clean.

MDF board

Wood fibres bonded under pressure make a panel denser than chipboard. It holds milled patterns and curved profiles, so fronts with relief are made of it.

Matt finish

No reflections, and it hides fingerprints and light scratches. In a small room it reads calmer than gloss.

Milled front

The pattern is cut into the panel itself rather than glued on, so it is felt by hand and cannot come away.

Manufacturer warranty

The factory warranty runs 12 месяцев from delivery. It covers material and assembly defects, but not natural wear or damage caused by misuse.

Made in Poland

Shipped straight from the factory, built to European furniture manufacturing standards.
