RAVENNA F 200: four doors and coloured milling

A television unit two metres long, four doors, everything closed. It is the tidiest option in the F range: on the outside only the coloured milling along the full length, with equipment and cables out of sight entirely.

Carcase and fronts in artisan oak: warm timber throughout, with no black inserts, and the milling reads as the grain of the board itself. The support is a black steel frame around the perimeter of the base, read as a shadow rather than a feature.

Who it suits

For a room where visible tidiness matters: there are no open shelves, so dust has nowhere to settle. It also suits those whose kit is controlled over the network rather than by remote - then putting it behind a door costs nothing.

What you will like

four doors, not one open shelf
coloured milling along the full length of the front
a black mat carcase; colour only on the doors
vertical partitions; tall equipment fits in whole
two metres along the wall, 42 cm deep

By size this is 200 cm along the wall, 42 cm deep and 58 cm to the top. The top holds 30 kg, what a 65-inch panel with its stand comes to.

What it stands with

Taken for a smooth front with not a single break: no drawers, no bays, and the coloured milling runs two metres straight. It is the calmest option in the F range on the outside and the most demanding inside: the kit has to be arranged by hand, since the partitions divide the carcase evenly and offer no hints. All-oak is chosen when there is already enough black in the room and a warm piece without dark inserts is wanted.

Will a remote work through a closed door? An infrared one will not; an MDF front blocks the signal. If the console is driven from a phone or over the network that is no obstacle; if by remote, the range has a unit of the same length with two open bays.

Will kit behind a solid door not overheat? The back panel stops short of the bottom, and air moves upward through the whole bay. That suffices for a console or a receiver; a games console under full load is better kept with the door ajar.

Materials and finish

A laminated chipboard carcase, milled MDF fronts. Finish: artisan oak. Support: black frame. Warranty 12 months. Factory BIM Furniture, Poland.

Frequently asked questions

Do the doors close softly or slam?
The hinges are standard sprung ones: the door pulls itself in over the last centimetres and settles closed on its own. The factory does not fit soft-close dampers to this model.

Four identical bays - how do you keep track of what is where?
Usually by frequency: the end bays for seldom-used things, the inner ones for kit and discs. The fronts look the same from outside, and the contents can be rearranged at any time - there are no shelves to take out first.

More about this piece

Laminated chipboard

Wood particles pressed into a solid board and faced with laminate on both sides. The workhorse of cabinet furniture: holds its shape, tolerates everyday moisture, wipes clean.

MDF board

Wood fibres bonded under pressure make a panel denser than chipboard. It holds milled patterns and curved profiles, so fronts with relief are made of it.

Manufacturer warranty

The factory warranty runs 12 месяцев from delivery. It covers material and assembly defects, but not natural wear or damage caused by misuse.

Made in Poland

Shipped straight from the factory, built to European furniture manufacturing standards.
