DIUNA collection
DIUNA is the dark line at MEBIN: wenge, gloss and curved fronts. The face of every piece runs in a soft wave rather than a flat board, so in a room the range reads as something sculpted instead of a row of boxes. Carcasses are solid wood with board in natural veneer, in one finish throughout.
Display cabinets and bars are glazed in tinted Antisol glass bent to the curve of the front, with glass shelves and LED lighting inside. The bookcases look the same but their shelves are wood and built for books. There are no handles anywhere: doors and drawers release under a push, the push to open system.
The tables extend on black inserts, and the dark band across an open top is deliberate rather than a disguised joint. Lacquer on the tops takes hot dishes and alcohol. The transforming table stands apart: a pneumatic lift raises the top from coffee height to dining height while the slide takes it from 130 to 218 cm.
The range covers four zones: a living room with display cabinets, bars, television units and a shelving unit, a dining room with tables on four legs or on columns, a bedroom with beds, wardrobes and a vanity table, and a workspace with a 182 cm desk.
