RAVENNA F 200: two-tone milling on a chest

A chest two metres long from the F range: three doors, three drawers and milling painted in two tones. The carcase is black mat, so the colour on the front reads as an inset rather than a coat over the whole piece.

The milling is two-tone: an artisan oak rib over a black-painted groove bottom, so the pattern reads even unlit. The support is a black steel frame around the perimeter of the base, read as a shadow rather than a feature.

Who it suits

For a room that needs colour without repainting the walls. The chest takes that on: a coloured front on a black carcase works as an accent rather than a background, and it can be undone by moving the furniture.

What you will like

two-tone milling: a coloured rib, a black groove bottom
three doors and three drawers in one two-metre carcase
the carcase is black mat; colour lives on the front alone
drawers on side rails, shelves behind the doors
the pattern reads with no lighting; it rests on colour contrast

Overall size: 200 cm along the wall, 42 cm from front to back, 89 cm tall. Two metres of top take a 65-inch television, or a pair of lamps at the ends.

What it stands with

This chest is taken as a pair with the F range television unit in the same colour: they share a carcase, and coloured milling on two pieces reads as an intended line rather than a coincidence. If colour is wanted in one place only, the chest goes alone and the unit comes from the B range in black.

Will a coloured front not tire after a year? The colour here is muted and sits on the front only, while the carcase stays black. It works like a dark suit with a coloured lining: visible when you look, quiet when you do not.

How is painted milling cared for? With a dry cloth or a soft brush along the ribs. The paint sits on MDF rather than foil, so solvents and abrasives are out: a plain damp wipe without alcohol is enough.

Materials and finish

A laminated chipboard carcase, milled MDF fronts. Finish: black mat with artisan oak front. Support: black frame. Warranty 12 months. Factory BIM Furniture, Poland.

Frequently asked questions

Will the paint on the front fade in sunlight?
Direct sun changes any dark tone over time, and painted MDF is no exception. If the chest faces an uncurtained window, the difference between front and side shows in about three years.

Is the same chest available in other colours?
Yes, the carcase is identical and only the rib colour changes: artisan oak, navy and dark green. The support is chosen separately, gold or black.

More about this piece

Laminated chipboard

Wood particles pressed into a solid board and faced with laminate on both sides. The workhorse of cabinet furniture: holds its shape, tolerates everyday moisture, wipes clean.

MDF board

Wood fibres bonded under pressure make a panel denser than chipboard. It holds milled patterns and curved profiles, so fronts with relief are made of it.

Matt finish

No reflections, and it hides fingerprints and light scratches. In a small room it reads calmer than gloss.

Milled front

The pattern is cut into the panel itself rather than glued on, so it is felt by hand and cannot come away.

Manufacturer warranty

The factory warranty runs 12 месяцев from delivery. It covers material and assembly defects, but not natural wear or damage caused by misuse.

Made in Poland

Shipped straight from the factory, built to European furniture manufacturing standards.
