Bookcase Sinai 240 cm, dark finish

Bookcase Sinai 240 cm, dark finish

A bookcase of the same width as model Miron but 18 cm lower: 240 cm wide, 32 cm deep, 224 cm high. The photograph shows it in a dark finish, against which book spines and the glass of the display sections read with more contrast than on a pale carcase.

How it is made. A sandwich carcase with reinforced edges. The front divides differently from Miron: tall display sections at the sides, an open niche at the top of the middle, a pair of glazed compartments beneath it and open shelves across the full width of the central part below. Six solid doors close the base. The finish is chosen from seven shades, the doors in pairs from one to six, in MDF or chipboard.

Worth knowing. A height of 224 cm fits a room with a ceiling from 235 cm, and that is the main reason to pick Sinai over Miron. The open shelves in the middle suit books used daily: no door to open. A dark finish shows dust on horizontal edges more than a pale one.

What it stands with. A case like this goes along a long wall in a living room or a study. If the ceiling allows and maximum height is wanted, the same maker offers model Miron at 242 cm with a different division of the central part.

Made in Israel. We deliver and assemble ourselves. Delivery and assembly are paid separately and quoted by address.

More about this piece

Laminated chipboard

Wood particles pressed into a solid board and faced with laminate on both sides. The workhorse of cabinet furniture: holds its shape, tolerates everyday moisture, wipes clean.

MDF board

Wood fibres bonded under pressure make a panel denser than chipboard. It holds milled patterns and curved profiles, so fronts with relief are made of it.

Made in Israel

Built at a local factory, so lead times are shorter and service and spare parts are close at hand.
