180x200 cm is the large double size, known in Israel as king size. Each person gets 90 cm of width, exactly as much as on a full single bed.
Who this size suits
Restless sleepers, couples with a large difference in height and weight, and families who find both the children and the dog in bed by morning. It is also the choice for anyone over 190 cm tall, where the 200 cm length is essential.
Will the bed fit
With a frame and headboard it takes about 195 by 215 cm. To walk around both sides, the bedroom needs roughly four metres along one wall. It is worth checking the route as well: a large mattress has to pass through the door and the stairwell. We will carry it up, but that will not make the doorway any wider.
Why pocket springs matter here
The wider the mattress, the more obvious it becomes whether it transfers movement. With pocket springs each one works separately, so a partner shifting at night does not wake you. Foam models with Visco behave similarly: they absorb movement through the material itself.
About bedding
A 180x200 bed needs a fitted sheet of the matching size; an ordinary double set will not stretch over it. Worth thinking about in advance, so you are not hunting for bedding on delivery day.
