Modern display cabinets in Israel: glazed, hanging and lit
A modern cabinet differs from a classic one above all in the front: a smooth surface without carving and often without handles, opening at a push.
Models by the Polish factories ASM MEBLE, MEBLE WJ, HELVETIA, MEBIN, LASKI and Israeli makers. Classic cabinets in solid wood and veneer are in Classic display cabinets; the general section with all types is Display cabinets.
A handleless front looks cleaner but has a quirk: the push-to-open mechanism works by pressing, so the door cannot sit flush against a wall or a neighbouring module – it needs a few millimetres of travel. That is allowed for when a composition is planned.

Glass
Modern models more often use tinted glass, black included: it mutes the contents and makes the cabinet part of the wall rather than a separate object. Clear glass does the opposite and puts everything on show. The glass type is stated on the product page.
