Product Overview

Giraffe console table - 51 centimetres against the wall, three metres for guests

Giraffe is not a dining table that folds away but a console that turns into a dining table. Closed it measures 51 centimetres: a narrow shelf against the wall for keys and a lamp. Five 50 centimetre leaves turn it into a three metre table seating fourteen. A 2025 model.

Who it suits

A flat where the dining table is needed on Fridays and in the way for the rest of the week. A second scenario is a living room with no dining room: the console stands against the wall as a piece of furniture and opens up when guests arrive. A third is a large family in a small space, a rare combination this model was built for.

What you will like

A length range from 51 to 300 centimetres, with five 50 centimetre leaves
From four places closed to fourteen fully extended
The sliding mechanism works without tools and without effort
A surface resistant to scratches and stains
Height adjustable feet, so the table stands level on an uneven floor
Two colours, natural wood and concrete, in a matte finish

Dimensions and what fits

Width 100 centimetres, height 78, length from 51 to 300. Closed it takes half a metre along the wall, less than most sideboards. Fully extended it seats fourteen, and a width of 100 centimetres lets you put serving dishes down the middle without crowding the people opposite.

Materials and quality

Top and legs are E1 grade chipboard with a melamine finish. E1 is the formaldehyde emission standard, and the supplier states it explicitly. The finish is matte and resists scratches and stains. Assembly instructions are included. Warranty 12 months.

Do you need tools to extend the table? No, the supplier notes it specifically: the sliding mechanism is smooth and the size changes without tools or effort.

How many people fit at Giraffe? Four closed and fourteen fully extended. There are five leaves, so you can stop at any intermediate length to suit the number of guests.

Assembly and delivery

Arrives flat packed and the supplier provides assembly instructions. This is a large table, so professional assembly makes more sense here than with the smaller models. It can be ordered separately.

Frequently asked questions

Does the furniture arrive assembled?
No, the table arrives flat packed with instructions. This model is large and extending, so professional assembly is ordered here more often than for ordinary tables.

Where do you keep five leaves?
The leaves of this model are stored separately from the console. Set aside space in a storeroom or behind a wardrobe, 50 centimetres each.

Does it wobble when extended to three metres?
The feet are height adjustable, and that is the first thing to use on an uneven floor. Fully extended the table is supported along its whole length, but do not load it heavily from one side.

Delivery and Assembly

Delivery Time and Shipping Cost:

Delivery and Assembly:

Attention! The cost of delivery and assembly depends on the type of furniture, delivery address, floor, elevator. Therefore the cost of delivery and assembly is set with the store representative at the time of order confirmation. Payment for supplies and the assembly is paid directly to the carrier on the day of receipt of the goods. Delivery to localities that are far from the center of the country, such as: everything further from Karmiel in the north, everything further from Beersheba in the south and Jerusalem, will charge an additional fee of 150 NIS. Delivery to Eilat will be negotiated individually, having previously checked with a customer service representative. If a crane (manof) is required to transport the goods, the client is obliged to find, order and pay for the crane services himself.

Delivery terms:

Delivery times for each product are specified separately. When calculating delivery times, only working days (from Sunday to Thursday of the week, excluding weekends, bank holidays and public holidays) from the date of receipt of payment from the customer's credit company are taken into account.
There may be delays due to sea delivery when ordering furniture from abroad, which cannot be influenced by the Supplier, in these cases the delivery time will be extended by another 30 working days and will not be considered a delay. However, suppliers make every effort to expedite delivery as much as possible, but, being unable to guarantee this, therefore, the online store is not responsible for any delays.
Furniture from the "Modular Furniture" category is modular, which reserves the right for the Supplier to make delivery as the modules arrive from the factory, within an additional 60 working days after the first delivery of the goods to the customer's home.
