Chest of drawers RAVENNA B 150 cm, 2 doors and 3 drawers, white mat, black frame

A chest 150 cm long: two hinged doors at the sides and three drawers in the middle. The fluting runs in vertical ribs across the full width and does not break where a door meets a drawer, so from the front the piece reads as one continuous band. There are no handles: a door is taken by its lower edge, a drawer by the edge of its face.

The support is a black frame of thin steel tube: it runs around the bottom of the carcase and carries it clear of the floor. The outline shows along the whole perimeter and works as a dark line under a white volume.

The white matt foil does not glare. The fluting lives only in the shadow between ribs: in side light the pattern comes forward, in diffuse light it nearly vanishes and the chest turns into a plain pale volume.

Who it suits

Chosen for a living room in place of a sideboard, and for a bedroom in place of a tall drawer unit. The three drawers take the small things that have nowhere to live: papers, chargers, keys. Behind each door is a shelf for bigger items.

What you will like

fluted fronts: the ribs run vertically and do not break between leaves
no handles – the front plane is flush and nothing catches a sleeve
drawers on side rails pull out to nearly their full depth
a shelf behind each door divides the bay in two by height
the black frame holds the carcase clear of the floor, which stays visible
the matt foil does not glare and forgives fingerprints

Materials and finish

Laminated chipboard carcase, milled MDF fronts with a foil finish in white mat. Steel frame painted black. Length 150, depth 42, height 89 cm. Factory warranty 12 months. Made by BIM Furniture in Poland.

Frequently asked questions

How does the frame differ from the legs on the same model?
The frame is a continuous metal outline under the carcase, the legs are four separate supports. On the frame the chest stands 2 cm higher and is steadier on an uneven floor; on legs it looks lighter. Inside the two are identical.

More about this piece

Laminated chipboard

Wood particles pressed into a solid board and faced with laminate on both sides. The workhorse of cabinet furniture: holds its shape, tolerates everyday moisture, wipes clean.

MDF board

Wood fibres bonded under pressure make a panel denser than chipboard. It holds milled patterns and curved profiles, so fronts with relief are made of it.

Matt finish

No reflections, and it hides fingerprints and light scratches. In a small room it reads calmer than gloss.

Milled front

The pattern is cut into the panel itself rather than glued on, so it is felt by hand and cannot come away.

Fluted front

Vertical slats or grooves run across the face, drawing the eye upwards and playing with light to lift an otherwise plain carcase.

Manufacturer warranty

The factory warranty runs 12 месяцев from delivery. It covers material and assembly defects, but not natural wear or damage caused by misuse.

Made in Poland

Shipped straight from the factory, built to European furniture manufacturing standards.
