Shoe cabinets in Israel: from 25 cm deep

A shoe cabinet is chosen by two numbers: how many pairs must go away and how many centimetres of depth are available. In an Israeli hallway the second usually decides.

The tilting compartment is the reason people pick a shoe rack over an ordinary chest. Shoes stand almost upright inside, so the body needs only about 25 to 30 cm of depth instead of 35 to 40, and the unit does not eat into the walkway. The trade-off: tall boots will not fit a tilting compartment and need a shelf of normal depth.

What to choose

How many pairs fit

Capacity depends heavily on the construction, so it is stated on each product page. As a guide: one tilting compartment holds roughly three to four pairs of ordinary shoes, while a shelf of normal depth takes two pairs side by side plus room above them.
