Beds in Israel: two size ranges, for 190 and 200 cm mattresses
The one thing you genuinely cannot get wrong when ordering a bed is the mattress length. Everything else can be fixed.

This section carries two size ranges, and they do not overlap. European beds are built for a 200 cm mattress, Israeli metal beds for 190 cm. A mattress from one will not suit the other: it either will not go in or leaves a 10 cm gap. The length is stated in the model name or on the product page. If you already own a mattress, measure it with a tape before ordering rather than trusting the receipt.

Lifting mechanism
A third of the beds here lift, revealing a box under the base across the whole footprint. It is the cheapest storage in a flat: the same volume inside a wardrobe costs more and takes up a wall. Worth knowing before ordering: the raised base swings up to roughly the height of the bed, so there should be no low shelf hanging above the headboard, and you need a clear metre in front to stand and lift.
The base
A slatted base is a frame of curved laths that flex under weight. It extends the life of the mattress and ventilates it from below, which matters in the Israeli climate: a mattress on a solid panel can only release moisture upwards. Whether a given model has slats is stated on its page.
