Product Overview

Miri laptop table - work sitting on the sofa

Miri was designed for people who work not at a desk but wherever it suits them. The height of 60 centimetres is chosen so the table rolls up to the sofa and the laptop sits at working height rather than on your knees. Four castors, a metal frame and a thick MDF top with a marble pattern. A 2022 model made in Turkey, the kind programmers buy and then recommend to each other.

Who it suits

Anyone working from home who does not want a full desk standing in the living room. A second scenario is breakfast in bed, which is exactly the height this table is built for. A third is a living room that needs a side table next to an armchair, where the marble pattern looks more expensive than the price suggests.

What you will like

Height 60 centimetres, so the laptop is at hand level and not on your knees
Four castors, roll it to the sofa and roll it away
Metal frame with a protective anti corrosion coating
A thick MDF top with a marble pattern
Three colours to choose from: oak, black, grey
Made in Turkey

Dimensions and what fits

The top measures 47 by 35 centimetres: a 15 inch laptop fits completely with room left for a cup or a mouse. Height is 60 centimetres, and there are 8 centimetres from the floor to the top edge of the lower support, so the table pulls up against a sofa without the support hitting its base.

Materials and quality

The top is MDF and the supplier specifically stresses its thickness: a thin panel sags under a laptop over time, which will not happen here. The frame is metal, coated with what the manufacturer calls a rust resistant finish. Warranty 12 months.

Which table should you choose for laptop work on the sofa? Miri: a height of 60 centimetres and four castors let you pull it right in, and the 47 by 35 centimetre top holds a laptop and a cup at the same time.

Does it work for breakfast in bed? Yes, that is the second stated use. The table comes in from the side of the bed and the tray sits at a normal height rather than on the duvet.

Assembly and delivery

Arrives flat packed with instructions. Assembly is simple: frame, top, four castors. Professional assembly can be ordered separately.

Frequently asked questions

Does the furniture arrive assembled?
No, the table arrives flat packed with instructions. Assembly is simple and one person can manage it. Professional assembly can be ordered separately.

Will the table slide under the sofa?
The lower support is raised 8 centimetres off the floor, so the table pulls up against the sofa from the side. It is not designed to reach over the seat, as it has a solid base.

Is the height adjustable?
No, the height is fixed at 60 centimetres. That is a working height for a sofa or a bed, but it may be a little tall for a low armchair.

Delivery and Assembly

Delivery Time and Shipping Cost:

Delivery and Assembly:

Therefore the cost of delivery and assembly is set with the store representative at the time of order confirmation. Payment for supplies and the assembly is paid directly to the carrier on the day of receipt of the goods.
