Product Overview
Lemur coffee table - the top lifts, and nothing is left lying on it
Lemur does two things an ordinary coffee table cannot. First, a lifting mechanism raises the top from 48 to 62 centimetres so you can work on a laptop without folding yourself in half. Second, there is a hidden compartment under the top that swallows remotes, books and everything that usually ends up scattered on the surface. It is the supplier's own design.
Who it suits
Anyone working from home who does not want a desk standing in the living room: Lemur rises to working height and drops back down when the day is over. A second scenario is a family with children, where the table is permanently cluttered and everything disappears inside in one movement. A third is a small flat where one piece has to do the work of two.
What you will like
- A lifting mechanism: the height changes from 48 to 62 centimetres
- A hidden compartment under the top, so things stay out of sight
- An 80 by 80 centimetre square, a serious working surface
- A body of MDF and steel
- Black paired with natural wood
- The supplier's own design, not an anonymous copy
Dimensions and what fits
The top measures 80 by 80 centimetres: a full workstation for a laptop and papers, or a tray for four. Lowered it stands at 48 centimetres, a normal coffee table height. Raised it reaches 62 centimetres, high enough to eat and work at while sitting on the sofa. Inside, under the top, go remotes, magazines, chargers and odds and ends.
Materials and quality
The body is MDF, the mechanism and frame are steel. It is precisely the steel mechanism that decides whether the table will still lift as easily in a year as on day one, and the supplier states its material separately. Assembly instructions are provided. Warranty 12 months.
How does the lifting mechanism work? The top travels forward and up, from 48 to 62 centimetres, and locks in the raised position. It comes down the same way, with nothing to unscrew.
What fits in the hidden compartment? Remotes, magazines, chargers, small children's things. It is a recess under the top rather than a deep drawer, but it is enough to keep the living room table looking empty.
Assembly and delivery
Arrives flat packed and the supplier provides assembly instructions. The mechanism comes as a ready assembled unit, so you build the body and legs rather than the mechanics. Professional assembly can be ordered separately.
Frequently asked questions
Does the furniture arrive assembled?
No, the table arrives flat packed with instructions. The lift mechanism comes as a finished unit, so you assemble the body rather than the mechanics. Professional assembly can be ordered separately.
Can you eat at the table in the raised position?
Yes, 62 centimetres is a comfortable height for eating and working while sitting on a sofa. It does not become a full dining table, which stands at around 75 centimetres.
Will the mechanism jam over time?
The mechanism is steel, as stated by the manufacturer. Like any lifting unit it dislikes being overloaded, so do not raise the top with dishes standing on it.
We deliver across Israel. In Modiin and Rishon LeZion Lemur is mostly bought by families with children, for whom hiding everything under the top in a second turns out to matter more than the lift itself.
Delivery and Assembly
Delivery Time and Shipping Cost:
Delivery and Assembly:
Attention! The cost of delivery and assembly depends on the type of furniture, delivery address, floor, elevator. Therefore the cost of delivery and assembly is set with the store representative at the time of order confirmation. Payment for supplies and the assembly is paid directly to the carrier on the day of receipt of the goods. Delivery to localities that are far from the center of the country, such as: everything further from Karmiel in the north, everything further from Beersheba in the south and Jerusalem, will charge an additional fee of 150 NIS. Delivery to Eilat will be negotiated individually, having previously checked with a customer service representative. If a crane (manof) is required to transport the goods, the client is obliged to find, order and pay for the crane services himself.
Delivery times for each product are specified separately. When calculating delivery times, only working days (from Sunday to Thursday of the week, excluding weekends, bank holidays and public holidays) from the date of receipt of payment from the customer's credit company are taken into account.
There may be delays due to sea delivery when ordering furniture from abroad, which cannot be influenced by the Supplier, in these cases the delivery time will be extended by another 30 working days and will not be considered a delay. However, suppliers make every effort to expedite delivery as much as possible, but, being unable to guarantee this, therefore, the online store is not responsible for any delays.
Furniture from the "Modular Furniture" category is modular, which reserves the right for the Supplier to make delivery as the modules arrive from the factory, within an additional 60 working days after the first delivery of the goods to the customer's home.
