RAVENNA B 150: two doors and three drawers in one carcase

A chest 150 cm long: two hinged doors at the sides and a bank of three drawers in the middle. There is not a single handle - a door opens from its lower edge, a drawer is pulled by the edge of its face. Because of that the relief runs across the front unbroken, undivided by fittings.

Carcase and fronts in white mat, rib and groove one colour: the pattern lives on shadow and deepens towards evening. The support is four turned black metal legs, barely visible on a dark floor.

Who it suits

Placed in a living room instead of a sideboard, or in a bedroom instead of a tall chest. The drawers take what otherwise lies about: papers, chargers, small gadgets. Behind the doors is a shelf for crockery or bed linen.

How does RAVENNA B differ from other milled chests? By the ribs running across the whole front, drawers included, without breaking at the joints. Most models mill the doors only, and the drawers fall out of the pattern.

Frequently asked questions

Do the drawers run on full-extension rails?
The rails are side-mounted roller rails. A drawer comes out almost entirely: you reach its back by hand without bending or lifting the drawer out of its box.

Can the shelf behind a door be moved?
The shelf sits at half the bay height and is fixed in that position. There is room below it for a stack of plates or a shoebox, and above it for vases and folders.

Laminated chipboard

Wood particles pressed into a solid board and faced with laminate on both sides. The workhorse of cabinet furniture: holds its shape, tolerates everyday moisture, wipes clean.

MDF board

Wood fibres bonded under pressure make a panel denser than chipboard. It holds milled patterns and curved profiles, so fronts with relief are made of it.

Matt finish

No reflections, and it hides fingerprints and light scratches. In a small room it reads calmer than gloss.

Milled front

The pattern is cut into the panel itself rather than glued on, so it is felt by hand and cannot come away.

Metal supports

Metal legs or a frame carry weight better than plastic and do not work loose. On cabinet furniture the gap underneath also lets you clean below the piece.
