Hanging chest SWITCH SB2, Wotan oak with black: units offset one above the other with a shelf

Two units of the same length hang stepped, one above the other and offset, with a shelf above them. The move gives a horizontal rhythm and plenty of closed volume at a depth of only 40 centimetres. A television can hang beside the set or above the upper unit.

What the set includes and what fits inside

An RTV 2 television unit 120 centimetres long, 30 high and 40 deep. The front drops on struts with two compartments inside. The set includes two of them.

A PW 2 wall shelf 120 centimetres long and 20 deep. It hangs separately at any height and serves for books or small decor. The set includes one.

How it reads on the wall

The upper unit shifts right, the lower one left, and a gap of bare wall stays between them. The shelf runs above the upper unit across the whole set and holds the line.

Who it suits

For a compact lounge that wants a media unit yet no full wall system. Two drop-down fronts give plenty of closed space for consoles, cables and odds and ends.

Polish furniture for an Israeli flat is easier to compare in an online shop than by driving between showrooms.

Materials and finish

Carcass and fronts in 18 millimetre laminated chipboard with edging all round. Fronts: Wotan oak above and black gloss below. Carcasses: Wotan oak and matt black. The wall shelf comes in matt black. No module carries a handle: everything opens on a press. ASM Meble factory, Poland.

More about this piece

Laminated chipboard

Wood particles pressed into a solid board and faced with laminate on both sides. The workhorse of cabinet furniture: holds its shape, tolerates everyday moisture, wipes clean.

Gloss finish

Reflects light and makes a piece look lighter. Fingerprints show more on dark gloss, so it needs wiping more often.

Matt finish

No reflections, and it hides fingerprints and light scratches. In a small room it reads calmer than gloss.

Wall-mounted

Fixed to the wall with clear floor beneath: easier cleaning, lighter-looking room. Fixings depend on your wall type and are not supplied.

Made in Poland

Shipped straight from the factory, built to European furniture manufacturing standards.
