Bedroom furniture in Israel: beds, wardrobes, chests and night stands
A bedroom is put together in a particular order, and it is not arbitrary. The bed comes first, because it sets everything else.

The order to buy in
The bed first: it is the largest piece, and where it stands decides where the night stands go and whether there is room left for a wardrobe. Then the wardrobe, because it runs into the door and the walkway and can hardly be shifted. Night stands and a chest last: they fit around almost anything.
Allow at least 70 cm of clearance beside the bed on the side people walk, and on both sides if two people sleep there. If the bed has a lifting mechanism, leave extra room at the foot so the raised base does not hit a chest of drawers.

About night stand height. It is chosen against the mattress, not the bed: the top of the stand should sit roughly level with the mattress or slightly above. A bed with a tall base plus a thick mattress raises the sleeping surface until a low stand ends up somewhere below, out of reach of a hand from lying down. Add the base height and the mattress thickness together before ordering.
