Product Overview

Closed MAJA 60 cm bookcase with a tall door

A twin of the open bookcase, except the top is shut behind one tall door. The same shelves sit inside, only the contents no longer gather dust or clamour for attention. Two drawers hold the base, as on the open version. The body comes in cashmere.

Who it suits

Best in a room where the bookcase stands in plain view and a flat front is wanted instead of a jumble of spines. It is handy in a hallway and in a study for papers that should not fade in the light.

What you will like

a tall door closing the entire upper shelf block
two drawers closing off the bottom of the column
a flat front that reveals nothing behind it
the same footprint as the open version: 60 by 40 cm, 195 cm tall
shelves inside kept clear of dust

From outside the body repeats the open model, so the two versions can stand side by side and give a rhythm of closed and open. The internal depth takes binders and A4 boxes.

Which is better, a bookcase with a door or an open one? A door is needed where the contents are visually busy or dust sensitive. The open version wins when the books and objects decorate the room by themselves.

Does the door open to the right or the left? The hinge side is fixed by the build and cannot be swapped, so a pair of bookcases is placed with that in mind.

Materials and finish

Laminated board 16 mm in cashmere with a back in the body colour. Warranty 12 months. BIM Furniture, Poland.

Frequently asked questions

How much space does the open door need?
The door is tall and swings across the full height of the block, so about 60 cm in front of the bookcase is worth keeping clear.

Are there shelves inside or just an empty cavity?
The upper block is divided by shelves exactly as on the open version, with the same section heights.

Delivery and Assembly

Delivery Time and Shipping Cost:

Delivery and Assembly:

Attention! The cost of delivery and assembly depends on the type of furniture, delivery address, floor, elevator. Therefore the cost of delivery and assembly is set with the store representative at the time of order confirmation. Payment for supplies and the assembly is paid directly to the carrier on the day of receipt of the goods. Delivery to localities that are far from the center of the country, such as: everything further from Karmiel in the north, everything further from Beersheba in the south and Jerusalem, will charge an additional fee of 150 NIS. Delivery to Eilat will be negotiated individually, having previously checked with a customer service representative. If a crane (manof) is required to transport the goods, the client is obliged to find, order and pay for the crane services himself.

Delivery terms:

Delivery times for each product are specified separately. When calculating delivery times, only working days (from Sunday to Thursday of the week, excluding weekends, bank holidays and public holidays) from the date of receipt of payment from the customer's credit company are taken into account.
There may be delays due to sea delivery when ordering furniture from abroad, which cannot be influenced by the Supplier, in these cases the delivery time will be extended by another 30 working days and will not be considered a delay. However, suppliers make every effort to expedite delivery as much as possible, but, being unable to guarantee this, therefore, the online store is not responsible for any delays.
Furniture from the "Modular Furniture" category is modular, which reserves the right for the Supplier to make delivery as the modules arrive from the factory, within an additional 60 working days after the first delivery of the goods to the customer's home.
