RAVENNA F 90: a coffee table with coloured milling

A coffee table 90 by 60 cm, 43 cm high. It is the lowest piece in the range: the top sits below a sofa seat, so no one has to reach for a cup. Under the top is an open niche the full length.

The ribs are dark green over a black groove bottom: a bottle green that behaves as a neutral dark tone. The support is a gold metal frame around the base, the only light note on the piece.

Who it suits

For anyone building a room around colour: the table repeats the shade of the fronts on an F range unit or chest and ties them together. The low stance suits a soft sofa where people sit deep.

What you will like

a height of 43 cm, below a sofa seat
two-tone milling: a coloured rib, a black groove bottom
an open niche the full length under the top
the colour repeats the fronts of the F range unit and chest
90 by 60 cm, a gold metal frame

By size this is 90 cm along the sofa, 60 cm deep and 43 cm to the top. The two centimetres against the other tables in the range do show: this one is lower.

What it stands with

It is taken to pair with an F range unit or chest in the same colour: dark green to dark green, navy to navy. The table works alone as well, but the point of coloured milling comes through when the room holds two such pieces and a line runs between them. A green front is chosen to go with timber and brass: it behaves as a dark neutral and does not demand that the whole room match it.

Why is this table lower than the others in the range? 43 cm against 45 on the B and C tables. The difference is meant for a soft sofa where people sit deep: the top then lands just below the knee and is easy to reach without getting up.

Will the table colour match a unit from the same range exactly? Yes, the fronts across the whole F range are painted with one colour and batches do not drift. The carcase is black mat on every piece, so that matches too.

Materials and finish

A laminated chipboard carcase, milled MDF fronts. Finish: black mat with dark green front. Support: gold frame. Warranty 12 months. Factory BIM Furniture, Poland.

Frequently asked questions

Will the paint on the sides rub off from feet?
The MDF is painted rather than foiled, and the coat holds. Still, the side of a coffee table is where shoes land most often: in a house where outdoor shoes are worn, the table is better placed on a rug.

Is the frame gold on all three colours?
Yes, the F range coffee tables come on a gold frame whatever the front colour. There is no black frame for this piece.

More about this piece

Laminated chipboard

Wood particles pressed into a solid board and faced with laminate on both sides. The workhorse of cabinet furniture: holds its shape, tolerates everyday moisture, wipes clean.

MDF board

Wood fibres bonded under pressure make a panel denser than chipboard. It holds milled patterns and curved profiles, so fronts with relief are made of it.

Matt finish

No reflections, and it hides fingerprints and light scratches. In a small room it reads calmer than gloss.

Milled front

The pattern is cut into the panel itself rather than glued on, so it is felt by hand and cannot come away.

Metal supports

Metal legs or a frame carry weight better than plastic and do not work loose. On cabinet furniture the gap underneath also lets you clean below the piece.

Manufacturer warranty

The factory warranty runs 12 месяцев from delivery. It covers material and assembly defects, but not natural wear or damage caused by misuse.

Made in Poland

Shipped straight from the factory, built to European furniture manufacturing standards.
