Montreal - a corner that forms on whichever side you need it

Montreal is sold not as a fixed corner but as a three seater plus a separate ottoman. Push the ottoman against the left or the right end and the sofa becomes a chaise; pull it away and you have an ordinary sofa and a stool for a guest. One piece therefore works in a rectangular living room and in a room where only a corner will do. Dark grey fabric, bought online in Israel.

What it consists of

The sofa itself runs 190 cm across the front at a depth of 73 and a back height of 85. The seat sits 45 cm off the floor, 184 cm of usable width and 54 cm deep to the back. The back is built from three separate stitched cushions and the arms are wide and hold their shape. The ottoman goes against either end, and with it the depth reaches 128 cm. Everything stands on low tapered legs in a dark wood tone.

Who it suits

A first rented flat and a small living room: three places and room to stretch your legs, yet the footprint of a single sofa. Anyone who cannot tell in advance how the furniture will land, since the corner here swaps sides in half a minute with no tools. A household that watches a film for two on weeknights and needs an extra seat when friends come at the weekend.
