Chest of drawers for the bedroom

Bedroom chests of drawers in Israel: drawers instead of shelves

The main difference from a living room chest: this one is built for linen and clothes rather than for equipment, so the drawers are deeper.

Chests by MEBLE WJ, MEBIN, HELVETIA, KURATOR and Israeli makers. Most models belong to bedroom collections, so the chest can be matched to the bed and the nightstands in the same shade and material. Living room chests are in a separate section – Chests of drawers.

In a bedroom the chest usually replaces the second half of a wardrobe: everything that is not hung on a hanger goes into it. A rule of thumb is that a couple needs at least four deep drawers; below that, linen ends up stacked in two rows and the lower row stops being reached.

What to look at

Feature	Why it matters
Drawer depth	Deeper holds more but means reaching further. Medium depth is usual for linen.
Runners	Full extension shows the whole drawer; partial costs less but the back stays hidden.
Height	A low chest fits under a window; a tall one gives more volume at the same width.
Collection	If the bed is already bought, a chest from the same series will match in shade and handles.
