Writing desk: with drawers, with a pedestal, in solid oak

Writing desks in Israel: for work and for study

Full-size desks 118 to 136 cm wide, and BARI models in solid oak with one or two pedestals.

This section gathers writing desks by MEBIN, MEBLE WJ, HELVETIA and ASM. The BARI series stands apart: not a laminated board but solid oak, and such a desk matches the rest of the furniture in the same collection. Computer and corner models sit in Computer desks, and desks for a child room in School desks.

The difference between a writing desk and a computer desk today is not the shape but the depth and what sits under the top. A writing desk manages with 50 cm of depth but needs drawers: paper and documents have to be within reach. A computer desk needs 60 cm or more for the monitor, and its drawers are often replaced by a pedestal on castors.
