Cabinet furniture

SWITCH XVII wall unit: a band of three square displays, Wotan oak with black gloss

Not one solid cupboard above: three square display cabinets hang in a row and everything inside them shows. Two units butt together below, with a shelf to either side.

What the set includes and what fits inside

An RTV 2 television unit 120 centimetres long, 30 high and 40 deep. The front drops on struts with two compartments inside. Two of them hang in one line to make a base 240 centimetres long. The set includes two of them.

A PW 2 wall shelf 120 centimetres long and 20 deep. It hangs separately at any height and serves for books or small decor. The set includes two of them.

A square WW 3 wall display cabinet, 60 by 60 centimetres and 30 deep. A glazed door with a shelf inside. What separates it from the square cabinet is exactly the glass: the contents stay on view. The set includes three of them.

How it reads on the wall

Three square displays run in a straight line, two units butt together beneath them and the shelves reach left and right. Height 150 centimetres, width 330, depth 40.

Who it suits

Anyone who keeps a lot on view and does not want solid fronts above. Three displays in a row turn the upper line into a showcase band, while everything domestic goes into the two units below.

Living room furniture is increasingly bought online in Israel: colour, layout and price are all visible without a single trip.

Materials and finish

Carcass and fronts in 18 millimetre laminated chipboard with edging all round. Decor Wotan oak with black gloss. The unit fronts are milled: diagonal grooves in the same decor run across the surface, giving relief and shadow. No module carries a handle: everything opens on a press, so the fronts read as continuous planes. Blue LED lighting is included in the set and in its price: it sits inside the display cabinets and lights the glass shelves. ASM Meble factory, Poland.

Frequently asked questions

Is there any closed storage at all?
Yes, two units below with two compartments each; everything above is behind glass.

Are the displays lit?
This model carries no lighting; the glass works by daylight.

More about this piece

Laminated chipboard

Wood particles pressed into a solid board and faced with laminate on both sides. The workhorse of cabinet furniture: holds its shape, tolerates everyday moisture, wipes clean.

Gloss finish

Reflects light and makes a piece look lighter. Fingerprints show more on dark gloss, so it needs wiping more often.

Milled front

The pattern is cut into the panel itself rather than glued on, so it is felt by hand and cannot come away.

Wall-mounted

Fixed to the wall with clear floor beneath: easier cleaning, lighter-looking room. Fixings depend on your wall type and are not supplied.

Made in Poland

Shipped straight from the factory, built to European furniture manufacturing standards.
