Product Overview

GINTARO 230 cm TV unit: a drop down slatted door and two fronts

A low television unit 230 cm long, just 46 tall and 45 deep. At its centre a drop down door laid out in oak slats swings away to open a bay for a set top box. Two structured wooden fronts flank it. The longest at 230 cm: the unit covers a whole wall and works as a base under the TV panel.

What it consists of

one drop down door fronted in oak slats
two leaves with a structured wooden front
an open bay for electronics behind the drop down door
push to open throughout, no handles
a sled base in black matt profile

Who it suits

For a living room where the screen hangs on the wall while the box, the router and the soundbar still need a home in plain reach but out of sight. At 46 cm it keeps the middle of the screen at eye level for someone seated, if the set stands on the top.

Materials and finish

The base material is solid oak with furniture board in natural oak veneer, one shade across the whole range, natural oak lager. There are no handles, the fronts release under a push, the push to open system. Legs and plinth are black matt metal and the surface is lacquered. The inner walls are dark, so the wooden shelves read against them. Made by MEBIN, Poland.

Frequently asked questions

Does a remote work through the slatted door?
It does, gaps run between the slats and the infrared signal passes through them.

Where do the cables go?
The back of the bay is open, so the cable leaves behind the body instead of crossing the floor.

Does it need an entire wall?
Nearly: 230 cm want a clear run with no sockets at the ends, or a front will meet a switch.

Which TV panel goes above it?
Any of the three, though the 190 cm panel lines up best to the eye.
