A separate line of extendable tables from the Polish factory MEBIN. Every model is in natural veneer, and that determines both the look and how the table behaves over the years.
What sets veneer apart
Natural veneer is a thin layer of real wood over a base. Each top has its own grain, because no two pieces of wood are alike. Over time veneer darkens and gains depth, which printed board never does. The other side of it: a chipped edge cannot be restored, so the corners are worth protecting.
What to measure
The tables extend, so measure the open size, together with 80 to 90 cm of clearance on the sides where people walk. Both sizes, closed and open, are given on each model page.
A veneered extending table is worth opening from time to time even without guests. The leaf does not live in the table permanently, and wood responds to light: after a couple of years the insert can turn out slightly lighter than the rest of the top simply because it sat in the dark.
