Bondi rocking chair 62 cm, ash wood

Bondi rocking chair 62 cm – ash and a high back

An ash-wood rocking chair. UNIMEBEL makes only three rockers, Bondi, Nano and Perla, and this is the narrowest of them: 62 cm across against 65 on the other two. The back is high at 101 cm.

Who it suits

Anyone rocking a child to sleep: that is what a rocker was invented for. And a spot by a window for sitting with a book or a cup, where the high back holds your head and the narrow body does not block the light.

What you will like

• a rocking chair, the narrowest of the three at UNIMEBEL
• a high 101 cm back
• 62 cm across, 88 cm deep
• wooden parts in ash, colour from the UNIMEBEL range
• fabrics from the shared UNIMEBEL catalogue, four groups

Size and what to keep in mind

A rocker needs clearance behind: as it rocks, the back moves backwards. Leave at least 30 cm to the wall or the chair will knock against it. At 88 cm it is 12 cm deeper than the folding chair of the same collection, which matters when arranging the room. The factory does not publish the seat depth and height for the rocker.

Fabric and finish

The upholstery is chosen from the full UNIMEBEL fabric catalogue, four groups to pick from. Full-size colour samples are on this page, and the price depends on the group.

How much room does a rocker need? Leave no less than 30 cm behind it. The factory does not publish the rocking travel, so our figure carries a margin rather than being a guess.

How does it differ from the Bondi folding chair? In the mechanism and the depth: the rocker is 88 cm, the folding chair 76 cm. Across the front both are 62 cm, and the finish is the same, ash.
