RAVENNA C 200: a three-dimensional grid along the whole length

A television unit two metres long with four doors from the C range. At that length the pyramid grid works at full strength: the pattern runs unbroken from end to end and stands in for any wall decor.

A white mat carcase with a white gloss front of pyramid grid: matt and shine side by side, the border between them visible in the light. The support is four turned gold metal legs: more floor stays visible beneath the piece than on a frame.

Who it suits

For a long living-room wall and for anyone building a room in a single dark tone. Four closed bays hide all the kit, while two metres of relief hold attention on their own, with no pictures or shelves above.

What you will like

the pyramid grid runs unbroken for the full two metres
four doors, all the kit behind them
the glossy relief works under overhead light too
vertical partitions, no shelves inside
a height of 58 cm, a depth of 42 cm

By size this is 200 cm along the wall, 42 cm deep and 56 cm to the top. The top holds 30 kg, what a 65-inch panel with its stand comes to.

What it stands with

This is the loudest piece in the range: two metres of three-dimensional grid in black hold a room on their own. It goes where nothing else is planned - no shelves, no panels. If that accent is too much, the B range has a unit of the same length with plain ribs under matt foil, which is quieter. White gloss is chosen for a dark room: the shiny front reflects light and does the work of an extra lamp.

Will gloss over two metres not reflect into the screen? Flat gloss gives a hot spot; here the surface is broken into pyramids, so light from each goes its own way and never gathers into a mirror. A lamp does not show as a patch on this unit.

What goes beside a black two-metre unit? A pale rug and one large object to the side: a tall plant or a floor lamp. Small decor is lost next to that length, and the relief is busy enough on its own for the wall above to stay bare.

Materials and finish

A laminated chipboard carcase, milled MDF fronts. Finish: white mat with white gloss front. Support: gold legs. Warranty 12 months. Factory BIM Furniture, Poland.

Frequently asked questions

Will a black two-metre unit not weigh the room down?
Weight comes not from colour but from sitting on the floor. This unit stands on a frame with a clear gap beneath, and the visible floor takes away half the visual mass.

Can a soundbar go under the unit?
There is a frame gap under the carcase and a soundbar will fit, but the sound will go into the floor. Better to lay it on the top in front of the screen: 58 cm brings it to a seated ear level.

More about this piece

Laminated chipboard

Wood particles pressed into a solid board and faced with laminate on both sides. The workhorse of cabinet furniture: holds its shape, tolerates everyday moisture, wipes clean.

MDF board

Wood fibres bonded under pressure make a panel denser than chipboard. It holds milled patterns and curved profiles, so fronts with relief are made of it.

Gloss finish

Reflects light and makes a piece look lighter. Fingerprints show more on dark gloss, so it needs wiping more often.

Matt finish

No reflections, and it hides fingerprints and light scratches. In a small room it reads calmer than gloss.

Milled front

The pattern is cut into the panel itself rather than glued on, so it is felt by hand and cannot come away.

Metal supports

Metal legs or a frame carry weight better than plastic and do not work loose. On cabinet furniture the gap underneath also lets you clean below the piece.

Manufacturer warranty

The factory warranty runs 12 месяцев from delivery. It covers material and assembly defects, but not natural wear or damage caused by misuse.

Made in Poland

Shipped straight from the factory, built to European furniture manufacturing standards.
