Product Overview

ISLA chair: a rounded back on a beech frame

A chair 54 cm wide, 65 deep and 83 tall. The back is rounded and wraps the lower spine, the seat is upholstered. The frame is beech: the case furniture of the range is oak, but the chairs the factory makes in beech, and says so outright. At 65 cm the depth is more than usual, so this is a chair to sit at for a long while.

What it consists of

a beech frame
an upholstered seat and back
a rounded back
65 cm deep
a second price group fabric at a surcharge

Who it suits

For the dining table of the range and any other at 76 cm. The rounded back supports the lower spine, and a long meal passes more easily than on a straight chair.

Materials and finish

A beech frame with an upholstered seat and back. The factory says beech outright and it is not a slip: the case furniture of the range is oak, the chairs are beech. For a surcharge the covering is made up in a second price group fabric. Made by MEBIN, Poland.

Frequently asked questions

Why a beech frame and not oak?
That is how the factory builds it: in a chair the load runs through slender sections, and beech takes it better. The make up of the piece says so.

How does it differ from the FAROS chair?
In shape and seating: ISLA has a rounded back and 65 cm of depth, FAROS a tall upholstered back and 45 cm.

What is a second price group fabric?
A covering dearer than the base one. It is chosen as an option and the surcharge goes into the order.
