KORA Chest of Drawers 88 cm – one drawer and two doors, light pine
A classic chest for a bedroom or living room: a wide drawer on top and two compartments behind hinged doors below. A moulded cornice along the top, panelled fronts and shaped feet mean the piece is built in the traditional manner rather than pretending to be modern. Metal handles in a gold finish carry the same character.
The Andersen finish is a light pine with a limed surface. A classic profile in pale wood looks lighter and suits rooms already carrying dark furniture.
Who it suits
For a bedroom in a classic vein, where cabinet furniture should look solid rather than minimal. For a living room beneath the television, or as a home for tableware and linen. For the hallway of a larger flat: the top drawer takes small items while the doors hide what should not be on show.

Sizes and what fits
88 cm wide, 46 cm deep, 97 cm tall. At almost a metre it stands taller than the usual chest, which puts the top at a comfortable standing height. The 46 cm depth takes boxes and stacks of bedding rather than only small items.
Materials and build
Body and fronts in laminated chipboard with banded edges, resistant to knocks and scratches. Handles are metal in a gold finish. GALA MEBLE has made furniture in Poland since 1980. Warranty 12 months.
How does a classic chest differ from a modern one? In profile and proportion. KORA has a cornice along the top, panelled fronts and shaped feet, details that modern furniture drops in favour of a flat plane. That is what lets it work in a room with wallpaper, mouldings and textiles, where a flat front would look out of place.
Drawers or doors? Drawers suit small things, doors suit bulky and tall ones. KK1 has both: one drawer for the small stuff and two compartments for boxes, equipment and stacks. If you want drawers only, the collection has KK2 in the same dimensions.
Assembly and delivery
The chest arrives flat-packed with instructions and fittings. There are many parts and the fronts need aligning, so assembly is easier ordered with delivery: the fitter builds it in place, adjusts the hinges and takes the packaging away. Delivery and assembly are quoted by address and paid separately. Polish furniture can be ordered online, with no trip to a showroom.

Does it arrive assembled?
No, the chest ships unassembled in a flat pack with instructions and all fittings. Most people order assembly with the delivery.
Is there a shelf inside?
Behind the doors sits a compartment with a shelf, giving two levels of storage. The top drawer is separate and runs the full width.
Does the colour match the photo?
The images are studio shots by the factory. Under warm domestic light the wood tone reads a little warmer than in the photograph.

Attention! The cost of delivery and assembly depends on the type of furniture, delivery address, floor, elevator. Therefore the cost of delivery and assembly is set with the store representative at the time of order confirmation. Payment for supplies and the assembly is paid directly to the carrier on the day of receipt of the goods. Delivery to localities that are far from the center of the country, such as: everything further from Karmiel in the north, everything further from Beersheba in the south and Jerusalem, will charge an additional fee of 150 NIS. Delivery to Eilat will be negotiated individually, having previously checked with a customer service representative. If a crane (manof) is required to transport the goods, the client is obliged to find, order and pay for the crane services himself.
Delivery times for each product are specified separately. When calculating delivery times, only working days (from Sunday to Thursday of the week, excluding weekends, bank holidays and public holidays) from the date of receipt of payment from the customer's credit company are taken into account.
There may be delays due to sea delivery when ordering furniture from abroad, which cannot be influenced by the Supplier, in these cases the delivery time will be extended by another 30 working days and will not be considered a delay. However, suppliers make every effort to expedite delivery as much as possible, but, being unable to guarantee this, therefore, the online store is not responsible for any delays.
Furniture from the "Modular Furniture" category is modular, which reserves the right for the Supplier to make delivery as the modules arrive from the factory, within an additional 60 working days after the first delivery of the goods to the customer's home.
