Product Overview

YIRON 203 computer desk - desk and shelves in one piece

Model 203 is not just a top on legs but a whole workstation: a shelf unit stands above the desk, taking books, folders and everything that otherwise occupies the working surface. It is 119 centimetres wide and 45 deep. The factory is Israeli, YIRON.

Who it suits

A child's or a schoolchild's room, where textbooks stand above the desk rather than piling on it. A second scenario is a home office in a flat with no separate room, where a desk and shelving have to fit into one metre of wall. A third is a student: 119 centimetres is a full working width rather than a side table.

What you will like

A shelf unit above the top, desk and shelving in one
119 centimetres wide, enough for a monitor and notebooks beside it
45 centimetres deep, so the desk does not eat the room
Height 77 centimetres, the standard working height
Made in Israel
A simple construction with no unnecessary detail

Dimensions and what fits

119 centimetres long, 45 deep, 77 high. The top takes a monitor and keyboard with room for notebooks to the left. A depth of 45 centimetres is the minimum for a monitor: the screen sits closer than on a 60 centimetre desk, so for a large diagonal look for something deeper.

Materials and quality

Laminated chipboard, the standard for desk furniture in this class. YIRON manufactures in Israel, which shows in delivery times: nothing has to come from Poland.

Is 45 centimetres deep enough for a monitor? For screens up to 24 inches, yes. With a larger diagonal the screen ends up too close to your eyes, and there you need 60 centimetres or more.

What goes on the upper shelves? Textbooks, folders, boxes of small things. The point of the unit is to free the desktop: the working surface stays for working rather than storing.

Assembly and delivery

Arrives disassembled with instructions. A desk with a shelf unit takes longer to build than a plain desk because there are more parts. Professional assembly can be ordered separately.

Frequently asked questions

Does the furniture arrive assembled?
No, the desk arrives disassembled with instructions. There are more parts than on a plain desk because of the shelf unit. Professional assembly can be ordered separately.

Can the desk be used without the shelf unit?
The unit is part of the model and designed for it. Technically the desk can stand alone, but the mounting points will remain visible.

Is it suitable for a schoolchild?
77 centimetres is an adult working height. A younger child will need a height adjustable chair and a footrest.

We deliver across Israel. In Jerusalem and Beit Shemesh model 203 goes into children's rooms, where one wall has to hold both a workspace and somewhere for the textbooks.

Delivery and Assembly

Delivery Time and Shipping Cost:

Delivery and Assembly:

Attention! The cost of delivery and assembly depends on the type of furniture, delivery address, floor, elevator. Therefore the cost of delivery and assembly is set with the store representative at the time of order confirmation. Payment for supplies and the assembly is paid directly to the carrier on the day of receipt of the goods. Delivery to localities that are far from the center of the country, such as: everything further from Karmiel in the north, everything further from Beersheba in the south and Jerusalem, will charge an additional fee of 150 NIS. Delivery to Eilat will be negotiated individually, having previously checked with a customer service representative. If a crane (manof) is required to transport the goods, the client is obliged to find, order and pay for the crane services himself.

Delivery terms:

Delivery times for each product are specified separately. When calculating delivery times, only working days (from Sunday to Thursday of the week, excluding weekends, bank holidays and public holidays) from the date of receipt of payment from the customer's credit company are taken into account.
There may be delays due to sea delivery when ordering furniture from abroad, which cannot be influenced by the Supplier, in these cases the delivery time will be extended by another 30 working days and will not be considered a delay. However, suppliers make every effort to expedite delivery as much as possible, but, being unable to guarantee this, therefore, the online store is not responsible for any delays.
Furniture from the "Modular Furniture" category is modular, which reserves the right for the Supplier to make delivery as the modules arrive from the factory, within an additional 60 working days after the first delivery of the goods to the customer's home.
