Oliwia 03 armchair 71 cm with wooden slats on the arms

Oliwia 03 armchair 71 cm – armrests that slope backwards

On this chair the armrests are not horizontal but slope slightly backwards, topped with wooden slats. The back, by contrast, is smooth with no stitching: the whole design rests on the line of the sides.

Who it suits

Anyone who sits leaning back: the slope of the arms follows the slope of the body, so the forearm lies naturally along it. And a room that already has plenty of pattern, since a smooth back adds no noise.

Size and what to keep in mind

At 41 cm the seat is low, the same as on Oliwia 11 and Oliwia O. That suits you if you sit with your legs tucked up, and does not if standing is hard: for that the family has Oliwia L with a 46 cm seat. The seat depth of 53 cm is moderate too, making for an upright way of sitting.

Fabric and finish

The upholstery is chosen from the full UNIMEBEL fabric catalogue, four groups to pick from. Full-size colour samples are on this page, and the price depends on the group.

Why do the armrests slope backwards? To follow the slope of the back: sitting reclined, your forearm lies along the whole armrest rather than resting on the elbow alone. The factory builds the model's whole design on that.

Are the wooden slats a facing or part of the frame? The factory calls them a decorative finish on top of the armrest. It describes no structural role, and we will not invent one.

Delivery and assembly

Made by the Polish factory UNIMEBEL. We deliver and assemble it ourselves and take the packaging away. Delivery and assembly are paid separately and calculated for your address.

Frequently asked

Does the furniture arrive assembled?
