Product Overview

ISLA chest 182 cm: three fronts, two of them fluted

A chest 182 cm wide, 48 deep and 108 tall. There are three fronts: two in fluted wood and one in lacquered MDF with a fluted wood insert. The fronts release under a push, there are no handles, so the vertical grooves run across the body unbroken. The base is black steel in a squared U, and the chest stands on it rather than on a plinth.

What it consists of

three fronts
two fronts in fluted wood
one front in lacquered MDF with a fluted wood insert
108 cm tall
push to open release
a black steel base
left and right versions

Who it suits

For a room that needs volume and is short of wall. Thirty extra centimetres of height give noticeably more room inside at the same length, and the top lands at chest height, handy for whatever gets used daily.

Materials and finish

A carcass in natural oak veneer with fronts of fluted wood and lacquered MDF carrying a fluted wood insert. The vertical grooves run the full width of the front and catch raking light. Opening is by push, the push to open system, and there are no handles. The base is black steel. Two finishes, rustikal with a black insert and with a white one, are chosen as an option at no extra cost. Made by MEBIN, Poland.

Frequently asked questions

Will it tip over?
108 cm at 48 deep is stable, but with children in the house a tall body is fixed to the wall like any other.

How does it differ from the 77 cm chest?
Only in height. Width 182, depth 48 and the set of fronts are the same.

What separates the two colours?
The wood is the same in both, rustikal. The insert differs: black notte or white bianco. The choice sits on this page and costs nothing extra.
