Product Overview

Crete kitchen island - deep drawers for pans and a fold out bar top

Crete differs from its neighbours in the catalogue through carefully planned insides. The drawers are deep and sized for large pans, the shelves inside the cupboards adjust for height, and the worktop folds out into a bar counter. The surface is MDF with a special coating that resists stains and scratches.

Who it suits

Anyone cooking for a big family: the supplier explicitly mentions large pans when describing the deep drawers. A second scenario is a kitchen short of both worktop and breakfast space, where the fold out section works as a bar. A third is an interior combining white and wood, here in warm honey tones.

What you will like

Deep drawers sized for large pans
Adjustable shelves inside the cupboards
A flap that lifts out 30 centimetres and doubles as a bar counter
An MDF finish resistant to stains and scratches
White cupboards paired with a warm honey toned top
All connectors, screws and clear instructions included

Dimensions and what fits

Width 143 centimetres, body depth 45, height 92. The worktop is 120 by 45 centimetres and the fold out section adds another 30. It is the widest island in the range after Madagascar, and with the counter open you can eat breakfast at it rather than only chop vegetables.

Materials and quality

On top, MDF under a coating that holds off stains and scratches. The manufacturer promises the surface will stay functional even after years of heavy use. The structure is strong and stable. Warranty 12 months.

Will large pans fit in the drawers? Yes, the drawer depth is designed for exactly that and the supplier states the use explicitly. That is unusual: on most islands the drawers are shallow, meant for cutlery.

Can you eat at the folded out top? Yes, the fold out section adds 30 centimetres and works as a bar counter. It needs bar stools with a seat height of roughly 60 to 65 centimetres.

Assembly and delivery

Ships flat. The manufacturer specifically notes that the island ships with all connectors and screws plus clear instructions. Professional assembly can be ordered separately.

Frequently asked questions

Does the furniture arrive assembled?
No, the island arrives flat packed. All connectors, screws and instructions are included, which the manufacturer states separately. Professional assembly can be ordered separately.

Can the internal shelves be moved?
Yes, the shelves are adjustable, letting you set compartment height around your own cookware rather than an average.

Will a hot pan leave a mark?
The finish resists stains and scratches, but the manufacturer makes no claim about heat resistance. Use a trivet for hot items.

You can buy the Crete island online and we deliver across Israel. In Beit Shemesh and Jerusalem it goes into kitchens cooking for large families, where deep drawers matter more than looks.
