Product Overview

Maldives kitchen island - a white body, a wooden top and castors

Maldives solves the problem of a small Israeli kitchen: there is never enough worktop and no room for another run of units. The island takes up 118 by 40 centimetres, rolls to wherever you need it now and rolls away when it is in the way. Inside there are two cupboards and three drawers. A 2025 model.

Who it suits

A kitchen where people cook seriously and are always short of room to spread out. A second scenario is a studio flat, where the island doubles as worktop and as the boundary between kitchen and living room. A third is anyone renting: the island is not built in, it moves with you.

What you will like

Two cupboards and three drawers for crockery, utensils and food
A hinged flap that opens out for another 24 centimetres to work on
Castors, so the island moves anywhere in the kitchen
Side hooks for towels and kitchen tools
Formica over MDF on the working surface
White carcass, top in a wood shade

Dimensions and what fits

Width 118 centimetres, body depth 40, height 92. The worktop is 98 by 40 centimetres and the fold out section adds another 24. At 92 centimetres it matches standard kitchen counter height, so the island lines up with your units and works as an extension of them. The three drawers take cutlery and small items, the two cupboards pots and appliances.

Materials and quality

The supplier calls the formica over MDF extra strong. Carcass white, top in a wood shade. Guarantee: 12 months.

Why does a kitchen island need castors? So the work surface is where you are cooking now rather than where it was once placed. It also rolls aside easily when you need to wash the floor.

How much does the worktop grow? The fold out section adds 24 centimetres to a depth of 40, giving you almost half again as much surface when you need it.

Assembly and delivery

Ships flat, instructions in the box. Paying for assembly makes sense here: there are drawers to line up.

Frequently asked questions

Does the furniture arrive assembled?
No, the island arrives flat packed with instructions. There are several drawers and doors here, so many people order assembly separately.

Will the island line up with my kitchen units?
The height is 92 centimetres, the standard kitchen counter height in Israel. Check yours: if it is 90, the difference will be visible.

Do the castors lock?
The supplier's description does not list locks on this model. If locking matters to you, look at Madagascar, where locking castors are stated explicitly.

You can order the Maldives island online and we deliver across Israel. In Tel Aviv and Givatayim it goes into rented flats with old kitchens, where nothing can be built in and there is nowhere to work.

Delivery and Assembly

Delivery Time and Shipping Cost:

Delivery and Assembly:

Attention! The cost of delivery and assembly depends on the type of furniture, delivery address, floor, elevator. Therefore the cost of delivery and assembly is set with the store representative at the time of order confirmation. Payment for supplies and the assembly is paid directly to the carrier on the day of receipt of the goods. Delivery to localities that are far from the center of the country, such as: everything further from Karmiel in the north, everything further from Beersheba in the south and Jerusalem, will charge an additional fee of 150 NIS. Delivery to Eilat will be negotiated individually, having previously checked with a customer service representative. If a crane (manof) is required to transport the goods, the client is obliged to find, order and pay for the crane services himself.

Delivery terms:

Delivery times for each product are specified separately. When calculating delivery times, only working days (from Sunday to Thursday of the week, excluding weekends, bank holidays and public holidays) from the date of receipt of payment from the customer's credit company are taken into account.
There may be delays due to sea delivery when ordering furniture from abroad, which cannot be influenced by the Supplier, in these cases the delivery time will be extended by another 30 working days and will not be considered a delay. However, suppliers make every effort to expedite delivery as much as possible, but, being unable to guarantee this, therefore, the online store is not responsible for any delays.
Furniture from the "Modular Furniture" category is modular, which reserves the right for the Supplier to make delivery as the modules arrive from the factory, within an additional 60 working days after the first delivery of the goods to the customer's home.
