Oliwia H two-seat sofa 136 cm – a high seat, easy to rise from

The two-seat sofa of Oliwia H. The factory describes it briefly: excellent proportions. The key figure here is the seat height of 46 cm: on Oliwia D it is 42 cm, and those four centimetres tell every time you stand. Only Oliwia M sits higher, at 48 cm.

Who it suits

A home with someone older or with bad knees: the difference between a 42 and a 46 cm seat is felt every single time you stand. And a living room that wants classic looks: a 101 cm back and openwork wooden sides.

What you will like

seat height 46 cm, noticeably easier to rise from
a 101 cm back, the tallest of the Oliwia sofas
seat depth 56 cm
openwork wooden sides with the fabric showing through
136 cm across, 90 cm deep

Size and what to keep in mind

It does not fold out, and the factory price list says so plainly. Next to it in the collection stands a folding sofa 140 cm wide, a difference of just 4 cm, and the factory itself explains that those centimetres went to the mechanism. So the choice between them is not about size but about whether you need a bed.

Fabric and finish

The upholstery is chosen from the full UNIMEBEL fabric catalogue, four groups to pick from. Full-size colour samples are on this page, and the price depends on the group.

How does it differ from the folding Oliwia H sofa? Only in the mechanism and four centimetres of width: 136 against 140 cm. The factory writes that the folding one is "minimally larger because of the folding mechanism". The seating, the back and the fabrics are the same.

Why does seat height matter more than depth? Because it decides whether getting up is easy. 46 cm is almost the height of an ordinary chair, and for an older person such a sofa is more comfortable than a soft, low one.
