Amethyst (2.8L)Slider lid simplifies water collection and protects the filter funnel from dust. The filter is also equipped with a mechanical resource counter, which will tell you the right moment to change the cartridge.

The
filter jug is a flow filter. Water is purified while it flows through
the cartridge due to gravity. Activated carbon granules and ion exchange
resins are tightly packed inside the cartridge. Activated carbon
absorbs harmful impurities: chlorine, pesticides, petroleum products and
other toxins, so that the water becomes transparent, removes extraneous
odor and taste. The resin reduces the hardness of the water and slows
the formation of scale. Large mechanical impurities: rust, sand, silt -
cartridge retains like a sieve.
In Aquafor water jug filters,
activated carbon and resin are mixed with Aqualen fiber (a patented
invention of the company). Thanks to Aqualen, the cartridge lasts
longer, and water cannot wash itself in the “channels” and pass without
cleaning: Aqualen holds the granules firmly together, like the roots of a
tree - the soil.
How often to change a cartridge?
Liter counter. It will be easier to change the cartridge in time if you have an Aquafor filter jug with a resource indicator: a mechanical counter is installed on the lid of the jug, which will always help and tell you about the time of changing the cartridge. Just when changing a new cartridge, set it to 100.
