Santos recliner armchair 78 cm

Santos armchair 78 cm – mechanical recline, no socket needed

An armchair with a relax mechanism: the back reclines and the position changes. The mechanism is mechanical, meaning it works from the movement of your body rather than from electricity, so no socket is needed nearby and there is no electrical part to fail.

Who it suits

Anyone who wants to lean back in the evening rather than merely sit: to read, watch a film, doze off. And a room with no socket in the right corner, where an electric recliner could not stand but this one does not care.

What you will like

a relax mechanism, the back reclines

78 cm across, 90 cm deep, 100 cm high
seat depth 51 cm, seat height 43 cm
fabrics from the shared UNIMEBEL catalogue
can be taken in the fabric of the Santos sofa

Size and what to keep in mind

The main thing about a recliner is that it needs room behind. Reclined, the chair moves backwards, so it cannot stand flush against a wall. Leave at least 30 to 40 cm, otherwise the mechanism will not open fully. The seat is shallow at 51 cm and sits 43 cm off the floor: an upright seat, not one you sink into.

Fabric and finish

The upholstery is chosen from the full UNIMEBEL fabric catalogue, four groups to pick from. Full-size colour samples are on this page, and the price depends on the group.

Does the chair need to be plugged in? No, the mechanism is mechanical: the position changes with the movement of your body. That is both cheaper and simpler to maintain than an electric recliner.

How much room is needed behind it? Leave 30 to 40 cm to the wall. The factory does not publish the exact reclining travel, so we give a figure with a margin rather than a guess.

Delivery and assembly

Made by the Polish factory UNIMEBEL. We deliver and assemble it ourselves and take the packaging away. Delivery and assembly are paid separately and calculated for your address.

Frequently asked

Does the furniture arrive assembled?
No, it arrives packed and our fitters assemble it at your home. They take the packaging away.

Can the mechanism be locked in a position?
The factory describes the mechanism with the single word relax and gives no detail. We will check with the supplier before ordering.

Is there a footrest?
The price list makes no mention of a footrest and we will not promise one. We will ask the factory if it decides the purchase.

Polish furniture in Israel: we deliver to Beer Sheva, Netanya and across the country, and the armchair is easy to add to a sofa order.
