INDYGO Bed 160 by 200 cm – with a slatted base, green front

A double bed for a 160 by 200 cm mattress. The wooden slatted base is already fitted in the frame, so there is nothing extra to buy: the mattress goes straight on and air moves freely underneath. The headboard is low, with a panel in the colour of the collection fronts, so the bed neither blocks the wall nor dominates a small bedroom.

In green the headboard panel becomes the only colour in the bedroom, which lets you keep the rest of the room neutral.

Who it suits

For a bedroom where the bed simply has to be comfortable rather than the centrepiece. For a flat with light-coloured walls: warm Wotan oak gives the wood presence without weighing the room down. For anyone furnishing a bedroom step by step who wants the bed, bedside tables and chest to come from one series rather than merely resemble each other.

What you will like

A slatted base is included, so there is no separate frame to hunt down
Sleeping area 160 by 200 cm, the European length, so choose a mattress exactly 200 cm long
A headboard panel in the colour of the fronts: the bed looks finished without upholstery
The frame is closed all round, so the mattress stays put and bedding does not show underneath
Laminated board that resists scratches
The collection also has bedside tables, chests and wardrobes in the same finish

Sizes and what fits

Overall length 207 cm, width 171 cm, headboard 90 cm high. In practice you need to allow roughly 210 by 175 cm including the skirting board. The sleeping area inside the frame is 160 by 200 cm, and that is the figure to quote when buying a mattress.

Materials and build

Frame and headboard in laminated chipboard with banded edges, base in wooden slats. The surface takes damp cleaning. GALA MEBLE has manufactured in Poland since 1980. Warranty 12 months.

Which mattress does this bed need? Exactly 160 by 200 cm. Mattresses 190 cm long are common in Israel, and one of those will leave a ten centimetre gap at the foot of the frame. When ordering, quote the European size of 160 by 200.

Do I need to buy a base separately? No, the slats are included and visible in the photograph: the frame arrives with the base ready for a mattress. Only the mattress itself is bought separately.

Assembly and delivery

The bed arrives flat-packed and unassembled, with instructions and fittings. It weighs about 60 kg and the parts are long, so assembly is nearly always ordered with delivery: the fitter builds the frame in place, sets the slats and takes the packaging away. Delivery and assembly are quoted by address and paid separately from the product.

Frequently asked

Does it arrive assembled?
No, the bed ships unassembled in a flat pack. The parts are long and heavy, so assembly is easier ordered with the delivery.

Is a mattress included?
No, the mattress is bought separately. The pack contains the frame, headboard and slatted base.

Will the bed get into the room?
It travels flat-packed and is built on the spot, so nothing has to be carried through whole. You only need floor space of about 210 by 175 cm.
