FLY 40: a tall closed column, Kaszmir

The upright of the range: 170 centimetres high, 40 wide and 29 deep. The front is solid and runs as one flat plane from top to bottom, with no handle and no glass. The column hangs on the wall and ends above eye level, which lifts the room visually.

What it consists of

Three shelves inside split the volume into four bays of roughly equal height. The door hinges on the left or the right, and the side is chosen on site to suit the wall. It opens on a press, and the damper brings the front back to the carcass without a bang. The module weighs 29 kg.

Who it suits

For a room where everything needs to go out of sight at once: papers, boxes, games, chargers. A pair of these columns beside the screen reads as symmetry, while a single one by the window works as a narrow cupboard in a recess. In a study A4 folders stand across the width with room to spare.

Materials and finish

Chipboard with a laminate face, carcass and fronts in one Kaszmir decor: a warm grey beige tone with no grain drawn on it. The surface is matt and keeps no fingerprints, unlike the gloss versions of the same range. ASM Meble factory, Poland, twelve month guarantee.

Frequently asked questions

Can the shelves be moved?
The shelves sit on supports in the holes of the carcass, and the factory set that grid, so the spacing is fixed.

Can it stand on the floor?
No, the module has no feet and no plinth, and it is made for the wall only.

More about this piece

Laminated chipboard

Wood particles pressed into a solid board and faced with laminate on both sides. The workhorse of cabinet furniture: holds its shape, tolerates everyday moisture, wipes clean.

Gloss finish

Reflects light and makes a piece look lighter. Fingerprints show more on dark gloss, so it needs wiping more often.

Matt finish

No reflections, and it hides fingerprints and light scratches. In a small room it reads calmer than gloss.

Manufacturer warranty

The factory warranty runs 12 месяцев from delivery. It covers material and assembly defects, but not natural wear or damage caused by misuse.

Made in Poland

Shipped straight from the factory, built to European furniture manufacturing standards.
