FLY 41: a glass column lit from within, Hickory Jackson

The same footprint as the closed column, 40 by 170 at a depth of 29, but the door is glazed over its full height. What sits inside reads from outside in full, and after dark the column works as a source of soft light on the wall.

What it consists of

Three glass shelves divide the cabinet into four tiers. LED lighting runs under every tier, the glow travels along the edge of the glass and lifts the objects from below. The door opens on a press, and the hinges go on the left or the right.

Who it suits

For anyone with something to show: glassware, a model car collection, trophies, crystal. It works in a pair either side of the screen and alone in a dining corner beside the table. In a child room such a column takes figurines and the light stands in for a night lamp.

Materials and finish
