JANTAR chest of drawers, 2 doors, 140 cm, on metal legs

JANTAR sideboard 140 cm: the most compact in the collection

Two doors, a vertical band down the middle, black metal legs. A hundred and forty centimetres is the size that goes almost anywhere: against a bedroom wall, into a stretch of living room wall, opposite the front door in a hall. The fronts are smooth and handleless, so the chest does not catch the eye or argue with the rest of the room.

What it is made of

• two doors, each with a closed compartment behind
• the band may be oak, lacobel, marble-look HPL or an amber panel with light
• recessed black line on the fronts
• matt black metal legs
• rounded carcass corners
• one piece top panel

Who it suits

A small flat where every piece must earn its place. A bedroom: 140 cm fits between door and window, and a height of 77 cm leaves room for a lamp and a mirror on top. A living room, as a companion to the display cabinet or the TV unit from the same collection. Polish furniture has long been bought through online shops here.

Size and what fits

140 cm across the front, 52 cm of depth and 77 cm up to the top. Two compartments of roughly seventy centimetres each, and the depth lets boxes stand inside rather than only lie in piles. A top of 140 cm takes a lamp, a couple of frames and a basket.

How it sits in the room

Each door claims about seventy centimetres sideways when open, so in a narrow passage the chest is best placed with the leaves swinging towards the free space. A standard radiator passes under a top at 77 cm if the chest stands by a window.

Behind each door is a compartment some seventy centimetres wide. Files, board games and storage boxes stand upright in a space like that, not just piles of folded things. None of it shows from outside: the front stays an even sheet of oak with a single dark line.
