An asymmetric set over 260 centimetres: a solid column on one side and a lit glazed cabinet on the other. Half the contents stay hidden and half stay in view, so the wall reads neither as a store room nor as a museum shelf.

What it consists of

A column of 40 by 170 with three shelves inside and a cabinet of the same size with three glass tiers and light. Below sits a unit of 160 centimetres with three compartments and a lift up flap. Two wall shelves of differing length run between the uprights. The set weighs 99 kg.

Who it suits

For anyone unwilling to choose between closed and open storage. The sides swap when the pieces go up, so the display cabinet can sit nearer the window or the sofa, wherever eyes fall on it more often.

Materials and finish
